Description
Vibrating Wire Center Hole Load Cell – Model ELC-31V
The Encardio-rite Model ELC-31V is a vibrating wire type center hole load cell designed for accurate measurement of load in rock bolts, tieback anchors, and other tensioned structural elements.
The sensor converts applied mechanical load into a frequency output, ensuring stable, noise-immune data that can be transmitted over long distances without signal degradation.
For specialized applications, a solid (non-center-hole) version of the load cell for stress measurement in tunnel supports and struts is also available on request.
System Overview
The ELC-31V consists of a fluid-filled high-strength steel cylinder with a vibrating wire pressure sensor attached. As the applied load increases, the internal fluid pressure rises proportionally, and the vibrating wire sensor translates this change into a precise frequency output.
This design provides excellent thermal stability, long-term reliability, and minimal signal drift, even under harsh environmental conditions.
The system can be easily connected to Encardio-rite data loggers (e.g., ESDL-30 series) for automated real-time load monitoring.
