High-Capacity Compression Load Cell – Model ELC-150S-H
The Encardio-rite Model ELC-150S-H is a high-capacity resistive strain gauge type compression load cell, designed for precise measurement of large compressive loads and axial forces.
Engineered for heavy-duty applications such as pile load testing and strut force monitoring, the ELC-150S-H provides high accuracy, excellent reliability, and long-term performance under extreme field conditions.
This model shares its proven design heritage with the ELC-210S, while offering significantly higher load-bearing capacity for large-scale structural and geotechnical applications.
System Overview
The ELC-150S-H load cell incorporates sixteen precision 350 Ω strain gauges configured in a full Wheatstone bridge to minimize eccentric loading effects and enhance linearity.
The high-strength stainless-steel construction, combined with hermetic sealing, ensures full protection against dust, moisture, and environmental corrosion, enabling the sensor to perform reliably even in submerged or harsh site conditions.
With its excellent resistance to extraneous and bending forces, the load cell allows for less stringent mounting alignment, extending its fatigue life and maintaining long-term stability.
Load readings can be taken using any standard digital read-out unit compatible with resistive strain-gauge sensors, or through an automatic data logging system using multiplexers (Busmux) or SDI-12 interfaces.
