Description
Model: EDJ-40V
The EDJ-40V Crack/Joint Meter is a precision instrument designed to monitor surface cracks and structural joint movement in concrete, rock, and masonry. It employs a vibrating wire displacement transducer (EDE-VXX) to accurately measure variations in the width of a joint or crack over time.
The transducer is mounted between groutable anchor plates fixed on opposite sides of the joint or crack. The sensor converts mechanical movement into a stable and repeatable frequency output, ensuring reliable long-term performance in harsh environmental conditions. Both uniaxial and biaxial configurations are available, depending on the required monitoring direction.
A waterproof version of the EDJ-40V allows use in submerged or high-moisture environments, such as dam faces or hydraulic structures, maintaining full functionality even under deep-water pressure.
