Description
Model: EDJ-40C2
The EDJ-40C2 is a biaxial mechanical crack meter designed to measure surface crack displacement and shear movement along two perpendicular axes (X and Y). It provides a direct visual indication of crack width and lateral shear with a resolution of 0.5 mm, making it suitable for reliable long-term structural movement monitoring.
The instrument features a graduated scale plate (±25 mm in the X-axis and ±10 mm in the Y-axis) and a transparent acrylic plate with a precision hairline cursor mark. When mounted across a crack, relative movement between the plates reveals both opening/closing and shear displacement.
Installation is quick and straightforward: the unit is mounted using expandable anchors fixed into 5 mm diameter holes drilled to 30 mm depth, ensuring accurate alignment and durable attachment to the structure surface.
This compact and maintenance-free instrument is ideal for bridges, retaining walls, buildings, tunnels, and concrete dams, where both vertical and horizontal crack movement must be tracked simultaneously.
