Description
Model: EBSM-101S
Sonar Scour Monitoring System
The Encardio-rite EBSM-101S is an advanced sonar-based scour monitoring system designed to measure and track riverbed or streambed elevation in real time. It employs an active acoustic echo-ranging principle, utilizing the speed of sound in water to determine the depth from the sensor to the riverbed with high accuracy.
The system continuously transmits acoustic pulses from a submersible sonar sensor toward the stream or river bed. By measuring the time interval between transmitted and reflected signals, the system calculates the bed elevation or scouring depth. These measurements are taken automatically at programmable time intervals, allowing long-term unattended operation for infrastructure safety and hydrological assessment.
The EBSM-101S provides valuable real-time data for monitoring bridge foundations, piers, riverbanks, and hydraulic structures, where scouring or sedimentation poses potential risk to structural stability.
