The ESM-40S High Sensitivity Liquid Level Settlement System is designed for remote and high-precision monitoring of minute differential settlements in tunnels, bridges, buildings, foundations, and other large civil structures. Its design enables accurate, real-time tracking of even the smallest vertical movements over extended distances.

The system comprises low-pressure, high-sensitivity settlement sensors with digital output, connected in series to a reference reservoir and desiccant unit via fluid-filled and air vent tubes respectively. Each settlement sensor is installed at the same initial elevation as the reference sensor to ensure consistent hydrostatic balance.

When any monitored point settles or heaves relative to the reference reservoir, the resulting change in liquid head is detected by the settlement transducer, converting it into an electrical signal representing vertical displacement. The fluid level in the reference reservoir remains constant, providing a stable measurement baseline.

An interconnected air vent line, ending in a desiccant unit with moisture trap, equalizes atmospheric pressure throughout the system. This prevents measurement drift caused by air pressure fluctuations or local air currents, ensuring stable, long-term accuracy.

The ESM-40S can be integrated with the Encardio-rite model ESDL-30 digital datalogger for remote online data acquisition and transmission. Real-time readings allow engineers and project authorities to instantly detect even minute structural movements, enabling proactive maintenance, improved safety, and reduced project downtime.
