Description
High Capacity Center Hole Load Cell – Model ELC-30S-H
The Encardio-rite Model ELC-30S-H is a high-capacity center hole load cell based on resistive strain gauge technology, designed for measuring load in rock bolts, tieback anchors, and other heavy-duty applications.
This model is specifically engineered for installations requiring capacities above 5000 kN, providing exceptional strength, stability, and accuracy even under extreme loading conditions.
System Overview
The ELC-30S-H operates on the Wheatstone bridge principle, utilizing sixteen 350 Ω resistance strain gauges arranged symmetrically around the circumference of a high-strength stainless steel cylinder.
These strain gauges are wired together to form a 1400 Ω full bridge, ensuring excellent linearity, sensitivity, and temperature stability.
The sensor body is hermetically sealed using advanced electron beam welding, protecting the internal components against water, dust, and corrosive environments.
This robust construction makes the ELC-30S-H ideal for long-term geotechnical and structural monitoring in demanding field conditions.
The 3500/185 kN and 5000/202 kN load cell variants are specially electron-beam welded to ensure durability and zero moisture ingress, maintaining accuracy throughout their operational life.
