Description
Model: EDJ-40TJ
The EDJ-40TJ Triaxial Crack/Joint Meter is a mechanical surface-mounted instrument designed for triaxial (X, Y, Z) measurement of crack and joint movement on concrete or masonry structures. It is particularly suitable for surface monitoring on dam faces or internal galleries, where direct access allows precise manual observation over time.
The instrument consists of two precision-machined aluminum elements, each fixed to reinforcement bar anchor stems. The elements are epoxy-painted for corrosion resistance, ensuring long-term durability in humid or submerged environments. Micrometer rest blocks and mounting buttons are made from stainless steel for stability and precision.
Measurements are taken by anchoring both elements on opposite sides of the crack or joint and recording the distance change between them using a micrometer depth gauge (50 mm range, 0.01 mm resolution). This setup allows accurate, repeatable readings of structural movement along all three axes.
The EDJ-40TJ provides a simple, rugged, and maintenance-free solution for triaxial crack monitoring, suitable for both civil and hydraulic structures.
