Description

V-Notch Weir – Model ESM-10

The ESM-10 V-Notch Weir is an essential component of a seepage monitoring system, designed to measure and evaluate water flow through, around, or beneath dams — both earth and concrete structures.
As one of the oldest and most reliable methods for quantifying seepage, the V-notch weir provides simple yet highly dependable flow measurement.

Constructed from high-quality stainless steel, the weir is available in a variety of sizes and notch angles to suit different flow rates and project requirements. Its robust design ensures long service life and resistance to corrosion under harsh environmental conditions.

Water level readings can be taken manually using a staff gauge or stainless steel scale mounted to the side wall (for measuring head above the notch vertex).
Alternatively, automated real-time monitoring can be achieved by integrating the ESM-10 weir with the Model ESM-12S/1 digital seepage sensor and Model ESDL-30 datalogger, enabling continuous online data acquisition.
